Who is responsible
Yopla is published by Flavian Desverne. For any question about your data, write to support@yopla.tv.
What Yopla keeps on your device
To work, Yopla stores on your iPhone, iPad or Apple TV:
- the subscriptions you add: server address, username, M3U link. Passwords are kept in the device's secure keychain;
- your favourites, categories and playback positions, so you pick up where you left off;
- channel lists, the guide and catalogues, so the app opens straight away;
- your downloads, on iPhone and iPad;
- a technical log of the last 7 days, 6 MB at most, to understand a problem. It holds no password, username, server address or provider name: the app removes them before writing.
All of this stays on your device. A device backup (iCloud or computer) may contain your settings and lists; the log and downloads are left out of it.
Who Yopla talks to
- Your IPTV provider, at the addresses of your subscription: channels, guide, catalogues, images and video. As with any app, it sees your IP address and what you watch. Its own rules apply.
- The image and guide servers your subscription points to, which may belong to other companies.
- Apple, for the App Store and your purchases.
Yopla sends nothing else, to no one else. There are no ads, no analytics and no tracking tools in the app.
Purchases
Purchases go through the App Store. Apple handles the payment: we never see your name or your card. The app reads on the device what the App Store gives you (trial, subscription or lifetime purchase) to open Premium. Apple sends us sales figures that don't say who bought. See also Apple's privacy policy.
Help and diagnostics
If you write to us, we receive your email address, your message and its attachments. From the app, a diagnostic report comes with your message: you can read it, and remove it, before you send it.
The report holds the app's version, the device model and its system version, your playback settings, the state of your downloads, crashes reported by the system and the technical log. Never a password, username, server address or provider name.
Emails sent to support@yopla.tv go through Cloudflare, which forwards them to Gmail, Google's email service: that's where we read and keep them. See Google's privacy policy.
If you share analytics with app developers (Settings, Privacy & Security, Analytics & Improvements), Apple may also send us anonymous crash reports.
We use this information only to answer you and fix problems: that is our legitimate interest under the GDPR. We don't sell it and don't share it with anyone.
This website
This website uses no cookies, no analytics and no tracking tools. It only remembers the language you pick, in your browser. Its host may keep technical logs (IP address, page requested) to run and protect it.
How long we keep it
We keep your emails and their attachments while we handle your request, then for 3 years at most after our last exchange. You can ask us to delete them sooner.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your emails, to correct or delete them, or object to their use, by writing to support@yopla.tv. The data kept on your device is yours: delete a subscription in the app, or the app itself. If you think your rights aren't respected, you can complain to the CNIL, the French data protection authority, or to the one in your country.
Changes
If this page changes, the date at the top changes with it.
